Applications are invited from interested persons for the full time position of Operations Support Officer to be based at our Gundagai Office. This position is to provide confidential and professional administrative support to several council departments operating in the Gundagai Office. Provide efficient and effective reception and customer services at Council’s office, presenting a professional, helpful, and positive image of Council.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide administrative assistance to support all managers operating in the Gundagai office with a primary focus on the operations area incorporating Technical Services, Facilities and Assets.
  2. Ensure relevant systems, registers and related databases are maintained and regularly updated.
  3. Ensure requests and complaints are responded to professionally and are directed promptly to the relevant officer.
  4. Ensure all administrative tasks assigned are completed accurately and in a professional and timely manner.
  5. Ensure all completed documentation is accurately recorded in Council’s Electronic Data Records Management System.
  6. Recommend strategies that contribute to the continuous improvement of Council’s administrative functions.
  7. Assist with preparation of reports and grant applications.
  8. Deliver quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
  9. Participate in and contribute to the work environment across several council departments.
  10. Comply with Council’s WHS Policy and procedures.
  11. Deliver professional customer service and administrative support, including customer enquiries, cashiering, facility bookings, interdepartmental communication, and the accurate completion of administrative tasks in accordance with Council procedures.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $1,309.86 – $1,532.44 gross per week
  • 12% super guarantee levy payable by Council
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement.

This position is to provide confidential and professional executive and administrative support to all Directorate staff. Provide efficient and effective customer service and administrative support, presenting a professional, helpful, and positive image of Council. Participate in Council’s incoming call group to ensure enquiries and requests are managed promptly and professionally.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Provide administrative assistance to support the functions within the Sustainable Development department as required.
  2. Ensure relevant systems, registers, websites and related databases are maintained and regularly updated.
  3. Ensure requests and complaints relevant to work area are responded to professionally and are directed promptly to the relevant officer as required.
  4. Ensure all administrative tasks assigned are completed accurately and in a professional and timely manner.
  5. Ensure all completed documentation is accurately recorded in Council’s Electronic Data Records Management System.
  6. Recommend strategies that contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative functions within the Sustainable Development department.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service, having wide knowledge and understanding of the Sustainable Development department’s overall functions.
  8. Deliver professional customer service and administrative support, including responding to customer enquiries, processing customer requests, facilitating interdepartmental communication, and accurately completing administrative tasks in accordance with Council procedures.

Executive Assistant – Sustainable Development CTA – PD

Essential & Desirable Criteria – Executive Assistant – Sustainable Development

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above position of Water & Sewer Attendant (Casual), based at our Bradman Street Depot, Cootamundra.

This role assists in day-to-day water & sewer operations, repairs and maintenance of Council’s water & sewage treatment plants, pump stations, reticulation systems, and reuse facilities.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Ensures the efficient operation of the Water and Sewage Treatment Plants, pump stations, reticulation systems and reuse systems, through ongoing monitoring, maintenance & repairs, and construction.
  2. Ensures water sampling, testing and recording is undertaken to meet required standards of treated and recycled effluent.
  3. Ensures the grounds of the Water & Sewage Treatment Plants facility and related work areas are maintained and presented to required Council standard.
  4. Ensure that all activity undertaken at Plant worksites is conducted safely.
  5. Attend to sewer and water supply emergency calls and ensure customer requests are attended to promptly and efficiently.
  6. Be available to respond to on-call activities on a rotating on-call roster.
  7. Deliver quality customer service to both internal/external customers.

Benefits:

  • Casual Hourly Rate $38.18 (includes 25% loading).
  • 12% superannuation.
