MISSING ANIMAL INFORMATION

If your animal is impounded it will be cared for by Council Rangers at the Animal Care Facility.

For impounded animals who are microchipped – Council will attempt to contact owners as soon as possible to organise returning the animal home.
If contact is unsuccessful and the animal is not claimed within 14 days, the animal then becomes the full responsibility of the Council as is able to be rehomed. For animals not microchipped – if they are not claimed within 7 days they also become the responsibility of the Council.

** Animals can be released between the hours of 9.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excluded) by contacting the Office on 1300 459 689

*** Please ensure your details are up to date on your pets microchip – This can be done at the Council Office.
