Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council and the Riverina Business Enterprise Centre have partnered up to offer two workshops for local businesses on How to Excel in Sales and Customer Service. The workshops will be held in Cootamundra and Gundagai in July.
This opportunity will enable small businesses owners in the region to learn what is needed through eight simple steps on how to sell to anyone.
The presenter, David Yeates is a sales guru. He has extensive experience in running retail businesses, franchising, corporate operations, sales teams and more. David’s expertise in development and growth of new businesses coupled with his knowledge of technical corporate sales will provides a valuable resource to operators.
Attendees can expect to learn:
- How to achieve a positive outcome for both the business and the customer.
- The eight steps to sales success!
- What excellent customer service is and how to succeed in it.

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council mayor Cr Abb McAlister said supporting the economic development of the region is one of the key directions in council’s Community Strategic Plan 2018-28.
“We will be assisting local businesses and will be organising more workshops in the future. Council has also secured a $5000 grant to deliver free business development workshops in October as part of NSW Small Business Month,” Cr McAlister said.

Business Connect is a state government program to support small businesses. It operates 11 Business Enterprise Centres around the state.
The Cootamundra workshop will be held on Tuesday 10th July from 6pm-7:30pm in the Stephen Ward Rooms.
Gundagai businesses can attend on Thursday 19th July from 6pm-7:30pm in the Council Chambers at Gundagai.
Cost is $25.00 per person.
