My husband, Mark and I have owned the Gundagai Newsagency for over 15 years; we have two children Grace 16 and Harry 13. I love to be with my family, entertaining, gardening, mosaic, holidays with my family……and I love a great catch up over a coffee or a wine with my friends.
Local Government has always been an interest for me, but the timing was never right for me to put my hand up. I think that it is an extremely important role, a role that I take very seriously.
I am excited at the prospect of representing our community. It is an honour and a privilege to be a voice for the residents of Gundagai and Cootamundra. Being accessible and approachable allows residents to have a contact and a channel for their voice to be heard.
As Gundagai is our home, I understand the importance of our combined communities to grow and prosper together. Being a resident and in business, I am able to relate to the concerns of our combined community. I don’t want our communities to just get by, I want us to grow, go-ahead, flourish and thrive, and we have so much to offer as a wider community.
With great communication and vision for the years ahead and by working together our future will be bright. I’m certainly not saying that it is going to be an easy journey, but the commitment must be there for combined communities to succeed and I’m committed to make it work.
