Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) is now calling on community groups, organisations and individuals to apply for funding from annual funding support program.
The annual funding support program enables local sporting clubs, community groups and individuals to apply for CGRC funding through the provision of financial, and in kind, support. The program assists Council with budgeting and ensures all applications are treated fairly and have a clear vision for the support required.
To be considered for a donation organisations will be required to demonstrate that they have sought alternate funding sources.
In making an application the following criteria is to be addressed:
- The persons or association have bona fide need of the donation.
- The justification for the donation – (why should the wider body of taxpayers support this activity or association?).
- The benefit to and participation of the wider community in the activities for which the donation is sought,
- The measurable outcomes against which the success of the donation will be assessed.
- Specific details of the association’s plans to reduce its dependence on Council for donations in the future.
- The date for review of the donation (for multi-year donations), and
- An acknowledgement that future donation will be contingent on meeting or exceeding agreed outcomes.
Applications for the 2025/26 financial year will close at 5pm Friday 30 May 2025. Applications must be submitted on the Community Donation Application Form, available on Council’s website at Community Donation Applications | Cootamundra Gundagai Regional Council (nsw.gov.au) or available at Council’s Administration offices in Cootamundra and Gundagai.
