The regions youngsters will have plenty to do during the upcoming school holidays. Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council’s Youth and Inclusion Officer, Destini Warren has organised a host of events that will keep the kids entertained.
The free events kick off with Paint by Number workshop to be held on Monday 30 September at the Cootamundra Youth Hub, this fun event will be held at the Gundagai Youth Space on the following day, Tuesday 1st October.
Youngsters will be able to participate in a trip to Wagga for bowling and laser tag on Thursday 3 October, bookings are essential for this activity to secure bus seats.
Join stand-up comedian and comedy show producer Anthony Lamond for a three-hour workshop on the art of stand-up comedy at the Gundagai Youth Space on Wednesday 9 October and in Cootamundra at the Library on Thursday 10 October. Bookings are essential, for this free fun and funny workshop.
If you haven’t checked out what’s on offer at the Youth Hub in Cootamundra it will be open 10am-4pm Wednesday 2 October.

Council libraries have a great range of school holiday activities as well. In Gundagai the youngsters can enjoy building and flying kites, on the 2 October from 10am to 11:30. Cost $5.00 to cover materials. They can join Balloonatic Bruce as he conquers up creations you will hardly believe with your own eyes, with the Balloon Antics Show on the 10mOctober from 2pm. Cost for this fun show is also $5.00. The Lego Competition starts, on 30 September, kids can work on their Lego masterpieces every Tuesday from 3pm to 4.30pm. The Cootamundra Library will hold a number of school holiday activities, which include the Balloon Antics Show, on 10 October from 10am to 11am, cost is $5.00. 3D Bird Houses is on 4 October from 10am – cost $5.00 and the Harry Potter Party on 8 October from 10 am till noon – cost $5.00. The upcoming school holidays certainly have a lot of activities to keep the children and youth busy and occupied whilst having fun and engaging with each other.
