Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) Gundagai Parks and Gardens team have erected a canopy in Carberry Park Gundagai to protect a young Jacaranda tree from this year’s winter frosts.
The Jacaranda sapling was planted in the iconic park last October, and will provide shade in the summer, with a splash of colour to compliment the purple tones already in existence on the adventure playground equipment.
Once established the tree will not require protection from frost next year. Carberry Park has several mature trees, the Jacaranda is one of ten new trees planted in the newly revamped park.
