Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council mayor Cr Abb McAlister is urging residents and visitors to the region to take care on the roads over the school holiday period and beyond.
Cr McAlister said with the increased traffic in the area over the school holidays the likelihood of accidents occurring is greater.
“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, the last thing we want to see is carnage on our roads, I implore all residents and those who are visiting our region, to please take care, drive to the conditions, don’t drink and drive and take regular rest breaks,” Cr McAlister said.
