Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council have completed the erection of Banner Poles in Gundagai and Cootamundra main streets.
The poles were erected last week in Gundagai with Cootamundra’s going up this week. The poles will house banner signs and are intended to provide a positive and welcoming message to visitors to the community. They are for use by Council-organised or supported events and for non-Council events which primarily cater to people from outside the area. The CBD banner can be used for local events and information.
The street banner system site is available for hire by organisations to publicise events considered appropriate by Council. Priority will be given to events that promote the towns and are related to major sporting, cultural, recreational, community or tourist activities.
Banner designs must adhere to the Councils Advertising Requirements. Council will be unable to erect banners which have not been made in accordance with these specifications.
Councilors will consider a policy for the use of banners by community organisations at its August meeting. More information will become available from CGRC website.
