CGRC has recently undertaken structural assessments on all of the structures within the local government area (LGA). Following these inspections by an external engineer it has been reported that a number of council’s bridge structures have had concerns raised about their ability to handle heavy vehicle loads.
In order to preserve the structures themselves and ensure the safety of motorists, Council has been advised to implement load limits on the following structures:
– Darbalara Rd, 4.4km from Brungle Road – 30t
– Kimovale Rd, 100m from Back Station Creek Rd – 25t
– Lucerndale Rd, 700m and 1300m from Adelong Rd – Both 10t
– Tabers Ln, 50m from Muttama Rd – 5t
Appropriate signage will be erected advising of the load limit for each structure.
