The funds were made available from the NSW State Government COVID-19 stimulus package and will be used to upgrade electrical facilities at the Cootamundra Showground.
The grant will transform the activities at the showground into the future and will be used to undertake important electrical upgrades which will include the installation of a new solar system, an upgrade to LED lighting at three pavilions, painting and maintenance of the luncheon pavilion.
“Our showgrounds are at the heart of our communities, and I am pleased that we have delivered to date $418,000 to the Cootamundra Showground facility,” Ms Cooke said.
Mr Brock said these funds will be well spent and looked forward to getting on with the electrical upgrade project.
“We will be able to ensure the safety of all who use the facilities and increase the capacity for the future, and will bring the electrical systems up to standard,” Mr Brock said.
Mr Brock along with members of the Showground committee thanked Ms Cooke for her efforts and said it was appreciated.
