Additional changed traffic conditions this Friday on Olympic Highway near Cootamundra
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this Friday on the Olympic Highway to finalise maintenance work at The Gap near Cootamundra.
A section of the highway will be closed and detours will be in place this Friday 27 March between 9am and 3pm, weather permitting.
This road closure will ensure the safe and timely completion of a project to rebuild the road surface, improve drainage and upgrade safety barriers and signs to improve road safety and reduce future maintenance costs.
During the closure, vehicles will be detoured via Dirnaseer Road, Suttons Lane, Old Cootamundra Road and Stockinbingal Road, adding up to 10 minutes extra travel time.
Outside of this road closure, work will continue between 7am and 6pm weekdays under single lane road closures and reduced speed limits. The work is expected to be completed by Thursday 30 April, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
