Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council are calling for residents and community organisations to nominate deserving people within the region for the 2019 Australia Day Awards. Nominations are now open and will be received by Council until the 15 November 2019.
The Australia Day awards provide the opportunity for recognition for the many residents who enrich our council area, through community service and outstanding achievement. Achievements can be a single outstanding achievement in the last year or numerous achievements over many years.
Is there a person you believe delivers outstanding benefits to the community? A young person who stands out as an ambassador in our community or a person who has achieved great results in sport? These are the people who can be nominated for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Sports Achievement awards.
Nomination forms are available from the Council Administration Centre in Cootamundra and the Council Chambers in Gundagai, or by downloading from the CGRC website, www.cgrc.nsw.gov.au. Nominations are to be in writing (by letter, or on the form available from Council Offices and website) and received by Friday, 15 November. This will allow consideration and selection of the Awardees by the Council.
Nominees must be residents of the Council area. Young Citizens of the Year Award nominees must be under 25 years of age at 31 December 2019.
